The Thomas Hurndall Fund

Well, not suprisingly, the Israeli military has cleared their own of any 'wrong doing' in the death of Rachel Corrie, however, our own Brian Baird has sponsored a resolution calling for an investigation into her death.

It's time for Israel to 'stand down'.

What other country can get away with bull(dozing) communities and placing them in 'concentration camps'?

'Settlement' is a euphamism.

They're going to be filming 'Thumbsucker' in the Pacific Northwest; I've been trying to get a contact for signing on as an 'extra', and the Oregon Film office has a link to this site, which has published a report entitled: Reconstructing Iraq: A Guide to the Issues. Grab a cup of tea and get comfortable, it's 85 pages long. Soros also provides grants to those wishing to film documentaries.

I don't know if it's typical of the breed, but Shadow (Black Lab and Chow) loves just about every fruit and vegetable there is, one of her favorites being carrots; although asparagus spears take a close second. Offering these treats seems to work as a deterrent to her noshing on a shoe or sock. My Border Collie just rolls her eyes when she sees Shadow practically doing cartwheels at the prospect of getting her daily dose of Beta Carotene, however, she does share her taste for broccoli.

This letter pretty much sums up my feelings about another invitation I received to accept and award for my poetry...Junk Mail Letters: International Society of Poets

When you think you've got it rough, take a look at what this man did for 22 years...

A stranger by the wayside,
Disheveled look of poverty with
Worn clothing,
Scraggled beard; cane clutched in fist.

Laying in state
Behind the broken bus stop bench
Along a main thorofare
Of a small town.

The two police cars that had stopped with
Lights flashing, now gone.
He lays there, ashen and grey.
Saturday traffic passing by
As though nothing unusual has occurred.

Tributes to Rachel Corrie at the Evergreen State College graduation today, which she would have been participating in and receiving her diploma, if she hadn't been bulldozed by the Israeli's. I was a bit suprised that they were releasing balloons, given the general ecological awareness that prevails there.

Women in Black were there for a vigil, and graduation speakers were Amy Goodman and Cindy Corrie.

Goodnight, David.

Goodbye, Gregory.

Sad news.

This from the True Majority.

"So Why Did America Attack Iraq?
America and the World Needs to Know the Truth

Tell Congress to Get to the Bottom of the Phantom
Weapons of Mass Destruction

To send free faxes to your Senators and Representative, urging them to get to the bottom of the missing Weapons of Mass Destruction just click this link and follow the instructions."

Here's what was said:
It [Iraq] possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons... And surveillance photos reveal that the regime is rebuilding facilities that it had used to produce chemical and biological weapons."
- President Bush on October 7, 2002 in Cincinnati

"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons... Iraq has made several attempts to buy high-strength aluminum tubes used to enrich uranium for a nuclear weapon."
- President Bush on September 12, 2002 to the UN General Assembly

"Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."
- President Bush on March 17, 2003 in his Address to the Nation

"We know for a fact that there are weapons there [in Iraq]."
- White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer on January 9, 2003 in his daily press briefing

"Well, there is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly...all this will be made clear in the course of the operation, for whatever duration it takes."
- White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer on March 21, 2003 in his daily press briefing

"Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction...What he wants is time, and more time to husband his resources to invest in his ongoing chemical and biological weapons program, and to gain possession of nuclear weapons."
- Vice President Cheney on August 26, 2002

"We believe he [Saddam Hussein] has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons. I think Mr. El Baradei frankly is wrong."
- Vice President Cheney on March 16, 2003 on "Meet The Press"

"There is no doubt in my mind but that they currently have chemical and biological weapons."
- Secretary Rumsfeld on January 7, 2003 at a press briefing

"We have seen intelligence over many months that they have chemical and biological weapons, and that they have dispersed them and that they're weaponized and that, in one case at least, the command and control arrangements have been established."
- Secretary Rumsfeld on March 24, 2003 on "Face the Nation"

"We know where they [weapons of mass destruction] are, they are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad."
- Secretary Rumsfeld on March 30, 2003 on ABC's "This Week"

Today's headline reads: 'CIA knew evidence on Iraq was fake.'

Are we suprised?

This is the second email I've gotten about this: "Current job got you down? Go to WorldPerc.com for a chance to apprentice for Donald Trump in New York City."
'The winner will apprentice for Mr. Trump with a $250,000 salary.'
